This is a new year forthcoming.  But it is also a new decade. Every decision we make, every action we take defines our next moment, month, year, and and yes, our next decade.  

The past year, if not the past few years have been challenging.  The decade past, more than adventurous, both good and bad.  But here we are at the start of a new year, a new ten years, with hope, wisdom, and the ability to choose what the next 10 years just might be like.

Dennis, you inspire me daily with your Facebook posts and your HEW blog posts. Thank you for sharing your insight, and I agree with you wholeheartedly! Happy New Year to all HEWers. What Dennis wrote is so true…each of us has the ability to choose with each moment how we want our lives to be. I’m not saying this is easy, but it’s the truth. Choose well. And, if you choose “wrong”, you can always choose another way next time. This is the beauty of life :-) . Happy 2011 to all!

PS. I am resolving to complete 11 Burpees each day of this year (for the year 2011). Lots of HEWers are doing it, too! Please join us!!!!!!!!

OK…I did the HOME WOD…well, really, I did a HOME 1/2 WOD. I think you guys were trying to kill me with the WOD; hence, being not ready to kick the bucket, I only performed 1/2. My time? 24:19 Rx…for the first half! That entailed 75 45 lb Thrusters (two of Mark’s big bulky dumbbells @ a total of 45 lbs…which felt far worse than an old TV…lol), 75 Push Ups, and 75 Sit Ups. I was never so happy to be doing Push Ups!!!! Ugh, those Thrusters!!!!! Lest you call me lazy for only completing 1/2 the WOD, I did also run 5K earlier today (at a nice pace) :-) . It was hard to complete the entire WOD at home not having cool, loud music blaring and a trainer and HEW peeps cheering me on :-) . (Pssst…it’s easier to quit when you’re not at HEW). Anyway, just wanted to post my time…for the HOME WOD…of which, I only completed half…and a 5K run. See you all tomorrow :-) !!!!!!!!
